Where is Liberia located?

Liberia, officially the Republic of Liberia, is a country on the West African coast. It is boarded by Sierra Leone to its west, Guinea to its north and Ivory Coast to its east.

How often do you travel to Liberia?

Once a year for three months. However, in the future that number may increase.

Can I go to Liberia?

Yes, we are always looking for volunteers to travel to Liberia with us.

If traveling to Liberia, are you required to take any shots or pills?

Yes, if it is your first time traveling to Liberia, a yellow fever shot is required. After that, you will be required to take pills. The frequency depends on what you and your physician agrees upon.

Are you affiliated with any churches?

Currently, the organization is affiliated with several churches here in the United States.

Is majority of the Liberian population Christian?

Yes

How much does it cost to ship a forty-foot container to Liberia?

Twelve-thousand dollars. This includes, retrieving the container from the US, shipping the container to Liberia, taxes and other government fees in Liberia.

Is Hope-for-Liberia a registered 501(c)(3)?

Yes, we are a 501(c)(3). Your donations are taxed deductible.

Aside from finances, how else can I get involved?

Where does my donation go?

Donations benefit several areas within the organization; including shipment, a hundred-pound bag of rice, building ramps, white canes for the visually impaired, water-pumps and so much more. To learn more about donating, please click here.

Where does your funding come from?

Funding comes from organizations, churches and personal individuals.
